I remember waking up one morning to thoughts about the bills that were due, the clients that suddenly canceled, & how it felt like my entire biz was crashing down before me.
I used to dream about the days that I would be my own boss and wouldn’t have to set an alarm to wake me up for my next shift… I just ain’t mean for the stress to be what woke me up instead.
I felt like I was walking on eggshells… the wrong move would forsure be the absolute downfall of everything I was building.
There I was…
$120k in cash with a F ton of clients, to now damn near $40k in debt & clients hanging by a thread as my recurring income dwindled down to what felt like nothing.
I walked into the kitchen as an attempt to escape the self-doubt that was lingering over me.
“Was I really capable of achieving the success I dreamed of?”
Before my next thought could form, I was reminded of yet another payment due.
Fuck.
I zelled my last $632 dollars I had in my account for my loan and walked outside to a patch of grass in our backyard. I fell to the floor and broke down. I was scared. So fuckin scared.
I reflected on the past year.
Overwhelm. Grief. Loss. Defeat. So much fuckin defeat.
How could I get here? How could I let this happen? How did I get to a point where I felt so freakin lost? I didn’t even physically recognize my reflection in the mirror anymore.
& that’s when it hit me.
My business didn’t support who I was at my core… & my current state of BEING didn’t support where I was going…
I was forcing myself to be someone completely different as a hope to break me out of the neverending trap of feeling like I was going to somehow-some way lose everything I was working for.
Everything I was told to be and everything I was taught about biz came clashing together. I was at war with myself whenever I stepped foot in my biz… Aka every damn day since I constantly felt the desperate need to make more money and sign more clients.
On top of that, I was never taught how to actually become the person who can not only make money, but feel safe with more money. I was never taught how to navigate the darkest & deepest Shadows that inevitably come up during entrepreneurship.
No wonder I sabotaged. No wonder it was unsustainable. No wonder I felt more lost than ever.
No wonder I was in debt, depressed, and dissociated from enjoying my actual day to day life.
The result?
I never truly enjoyed any of my milestones in biz.
I never felt like I had enough money no matter how much I made.
I was constantly rushing to find or do the next best thing that would be the “one” thing to make my success.
I created problems when there didn’t have to be.
I couldn’t even be present in my life with my loved ones because I put so much pressure on myself to not fail.
That’s when I decided no more. No fuckin more. There has to be another way. There is no way in hell was I going to sacrifice my own damn soul for making 6 figures.
I was sooo over hearing another “just get back in your power”, or the ever-conflicting “take the day off to rest, but also reach out to 100 people per day if you want more clients”
I was sooo done with making moves from a place of “save me” and feeling like my business would crumble anytime LIFE happened…because well… life freakin happens.
I was sooo done with “marketing & selling” meaning “forcing & pushing.”
None of that shit felt good. I was determined to rebuild my empire from a place of DESIRE, EASE, & FUN. Nothing else.
2022 was the hardest year of my life to date due to everything in my personal life getting turned completely upside down; yet it was also the first year I ever said “holy F i’m in love with my business…I’m in love with my life…I am in love with ME” in the same sentence.
Yes, 2022 felt like a million ego deaths back to back, but I’ve never felt more EXCITED & SAFE within myself, my money, my body, and my business.
The result of holding my embodiment despite my external circumstances? I entered a new level in my business as I went on to have my first $12k sale from a single sign up in the DMs.
